| * We would like to point out that thought the following books were very helpful in ideas and design, they are not focused on the Bay Area. You should therefore be aware that some of the plants you’ll find in them are not necessarily suited for the local climate. Nonetheless, we feel they offer some excellent gardening ideas. | ||||||||

| Here are some books that offer Mix-and-Match pages for comparing various plants and colors, allowing you to plan your garden from home before you head to the nursery. They are a great visual aid for anyone who has a hard time visualizing how their garden will turn out. The only drawback is that they are limited in their selection of plants and the plants listed may not be available or viable in the Bay Area. Yet they are still a great way to get ideas, and a fantastic tool for beginning gardeners. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! | ||||||||
